| He had come for her. He had sent him to fulfill his promise - if it could even be called that. To her, the idea of a promise implied mutual agreement which this did not have.
She should have been terrified, horrified, panicked... None of which she was feeling. She was strangely calm. She followed where she was taken, not putting up a fuss.
They didn't speak until they were almost there.
"Don't forget to kneel in front of him," he warned.
Mutely nodding her head in response, she followed as they made the steep climb that led to his castle. Her eyes took in the sights, her brain not completely registering where she truly was.
She was led into a room where he sat at the front. An audience was in front of him. She was led to the side and told to wait. Kneeling where she was half-hidden, her gaze was unwavering, yet unfocused, as she watched what happened next. With a speed that led her to believe the trip would truly only take him mere minutes if he had been alone, her guide made his way to the front.
He spoke, but the words he said did not register in her mind; she heard not a sound.
Watching, the other one stood and walked towards them. She stood in front of him where she proceeded to kneel before she was told to rise and place her hands on the end of the hilt, the blade pointing downwards; the sword was long, up to her chest.
Motioned forward by her guide, she walked down the middle aisle. Everything was still hazy, but her movements felt automated, like she was auto-pilot.
Remembering her guide's words, she walked up onto the slight stage and stopped two feet away from him. Slowly, she knelt at his feet. Unexpectedly, he made the move to help her rise - something he didn't do for the previous girl. Their eyes connected for a brief second before she once again glanced at the floor beneath her.
He held his hand out towards her and she placed her hand in his, an expression of confusion marring her features.
"My Lord!"
Her guide rushed towards them, but he only directed him to take a seat in the chair he had previously been occupying. He complied.
"I want her to want me, as much as I want her," he explained.
Turning with her, he guided her up the short steps that led them to the upper platform. He faced her, taking her other hand in his. She followed his movements. They were swaying and dancing to the imaginary music that was in his head.
It wasn't long before she fell towards him, the contact too much for her. He gently embraced her while her guide was spurred into action.
A loud growl escaped his lips and the others knew what that meant. He didn't have to give words to his dismissal. They scrambled to leave while he scrambled to get up to them.
"Take care of her."
Nodding in response, he casually picked her up in a way that was impermissible for him and left the room.
She had been emotionless. When he saw her knelt before him, an inexplicable sensation surged inside of him. Their eyes connected momentarily before she glanced away...
His explanation was something that had come so naturally. He didn't even question the words that he spoke. He did want her; a feeling he had never had before.
So much for being a cold-blooded, cold-hearted demon overlord...

| I'm a girly girl. I'll admit it freely, proudly and loudly. Lolz~ I don't expect every woman on the planet to spend 15 minutes putting on makeup, 20-30 minutes doing her hair, 30 minutes blow-drying her hair after a shower and try on 4 or 5 outfits in order to find the perfect one before she leaves the house. If I had all the time in the world, it would probably take me that long to get out of the house... Fortunately, my love for sleep matches my love for dressing up, so it ends up being a compromise. If I'm forced to, I can leave the house within 10 minutes... I'm just not looking my best - what I consider my best.
That said, you would think there is some common sense...
If you like wearing jeans and t-shirts all the time, that's totally fine with me. If you like dressing up to the nines, that's totally fine with me as well. What bothers me is when you try to mix the two (casual vs. dressy)!
Okay, so what do you need to consider as part of your appearance? 1. Your clothes 2. Your shoes 3. Your accessories 4. Your hair
I don't expect you to wear fancy high heels if you're wearing a sweatshirt and jeans, just like I don't expect you to wear sneakers with a pretty party dress. Accessories are pretty flexible. I mean, a fancy necklace could totally bring a spark to your simple outfit. What really bothers me is the hair part. (I did mention in the previous post my obsession with it...)
So here's what's going on.
My sister drives me bonkers when she dresses pretty and does diddly-squat with her hair.
First of all, she doesn't even know how to blow-dry her hair. I mean, by her age (she's older), you would think you would know that sort of thing already. Secondly, she doesn't wear any makeup at all (on a regular basis). You wouldn't think that it's a problem, but she is pale. And not like healthy, pretty porcelain skin pale, but sickly, I am on my deathbed type pale. There isn't a hint of blood (healthy flush) to her face at all!
When she does dress up, beyond the t-shirt/jeans thing (yes Braden, I don't think jeans are fancy XD), what does she do? Throw her hair up in the usual pony. Like fine, I know you don't know how to do your own hair either... The thing that bothers me the most is her choice in accessory!
I mean, she has spent money on buying fancy hairsticks, hair claws, etc. So why not use them? No, of course not... Because she wouldn't know what to do with it either. Fine, I'll use them anyways (haha~). But why oh why, do you have to pick the ugliest hairtie we own to tie up your hair?!
Last weekend when we went out, she was wearing this fancy-ish purple sweater dress and tights? I can't remember what she was wearing on the bottom. It's fancy compared to what she normally wears. So of course, because that's the most rational choice ever, she has to take this fat orange hairtie we have to tie up her hair... Like what the heck?! We have a tonne of those thin plastic ones. If you're not going to do anything fancy, at least don't use something so ugly! >_<
Then today, she was wearing this lilac, fitted, fleece-ish sweater with a pair of her dress pants, paired with her heel boots... Ties her hair back in what my mom calls the "bun" style, except it is not even a bun. Basically, she tied it up in a pony, but where you don't pull it out completely so it forms a loop... Then she adds this ancient scrunchie we have... *siiii~gh*
Why buy all this stuff if you're not going to use it?! And if you don't know how to use it, at least learn how to... But no, of course not, because that takes work. Grr...
Anyways! Since cinpii mentioned the fatso bun from Parfait Tic on the last post... hehe~
Figure 1 The fatso-est bun I can do with my hair.
Apparently it was crooked... Lolz~ Not that it's that big of a deal. Now that is what I can a bun. A hair loop is not a bun. But yay! It was my first time using that hairstick. Usually my hair is too smooth when I do want to use it and it slips out.
Figure 2 The length of my hair when it's down.
You can tell how layered it is >_< But if it's not, it'd just look like... "PLET" which is like so ugz... I still want it to grow out at least another 2 inches in length. Then, even it out more so it's not as layered. It makes it difficult to put it up when the shorter strands always fall out. It could be a good thing if you're going for the messy, tied-up look though... XD | | |
| Warning: Girly girl post
I was actually going to blog about something, but the moment I went to submit it, the net crashed and I lost everything. I think it was a sign not to post it... Lolz~ I hate retyping up a post, unless it's something that I really, really want to blog about. So, time to blog about something less ranty and aggravating! XD
haha, since forever... I've had an obsession with hair.
I really like reading mangas or watching shows where there's like all this cool hair! Actually, that's one reason why I really liked this manga called Parfait Tic. Fuuko always has this amazing funky hair!! :p
I used to have really long hair, like down to my waist long, back in 7th grade. Then my mom made me cut it cuz I didn't do anything with it, but leave it down. "Wasting shampoo" was what she said... So I ended up chopping off 6-inches. It has never been that long since. I don't think I've even had it as long as it was after the chop. *sigh*
I'll get sick of my hair, and then chop it off, and then afterward, be like totally depressed cuz I want to grow it out again. It's this never-ending cycle!!
hehe, so anyways, at work, I end up playing with my hair a lot. Like how I had that allergic reaction, when I left my hair down, it'd irritate it even more cuz it's like stuck to my face. So then I'd have to tie it up again.
One of my "things" is trying to find funky new hairstyles... I like it! It's like another extension of myself... I'm just totally girly girl, what can I say? I don't like tying it up the same way all the time! And if I do, at least I'll try to use a cute accessory. haha, Ang should know since I bought a lot while I was in Japan ^^
Today, I decided to do a french braid in my hair, since I tried it yesterday and it was like oooh! But instead of any old french braid, I did a diagonal-sideways one... If that makes sense. It was getting kind of messy though so while I was at work, I redid it and now it's like a french braid into a mini bun!! XD haha, I like it~
At first, I left the ends in a side-pony, but the second time, I braided it and then made it into a bun. It'd look so much better if my hair was longer... Lots of loose ends by the time I get to braiding the remain part... *shrugs* Oh well.
Another thing in my arsenal so onto the next hairstyle!~ ^^
Edit. Pictures, cuz that's how obsessive I can be... haha!
First one is from today. Second one was from a while back (last month from date taken XD).

| Kk, so for work, one of my tasks for the week is to create an updated P&ID of our pilot plant. I'm not expecting anyone, except Braden (and maybe Brandon) to get that... Lolz~
Anyways, it's basically a detailed diagram of how a plant/process is set up.
I've seen a handful of them, but it's not like I've ever done one! I'm not an engineer for crying out loud! I don't learn this stuff!! It's a miracle I even remembered what program to use... haha. I only knew cuz my former supervisor showed me what it was (example P&ID) and mentioned a few times that she had to put one together.
The program is called Microsoft Visio. You can do all sorts of fancy stuff on it like block flow diagrams or trees, or in my case, P&IDs.
Not to get into details, but I found this other nifty program from Microsoft called OneNote. haha, what's cool about it is that it's kind of an organized way to throw random things together that you could potentially share with others. It's like an electronic scrapbook. Luckily, I actually have the program! (I wasn't sure, though I have it on my work laptop.)
Perfect~ That's so cool! It's totally usable for my writing! XD Instead of having all my ideas all over the place (or stuck in my head), I can now organize them and jot them down. That way, I don't have to go flipping through notebooks or looseleaf trying to find everything!
It has sections, pages, subpages, etc. Everything I could ever dream of~ (Lolz, okay, not really.)
The only thing is that it'll take a while to setup. Not in the sense of having to develop a layout or anything like that! Just transfering what I do have down/stored in my head (which is a lot...) onto the actual program itself.
But like sometimes, you just get ideas and it's not like you really want to write... So yah! This should be kinda interesting. Something new to play around with~ Especially since I seem to be in this "outlining/developing" phase right now - not that I'm not working on stuff... hehe~ Just getting lots of ideas for different (new...) stories.

| My face is getting better! I only use my sister's cleanser for sensitive skin and moisturizer. Thank goodness~
Anyways... Yesterday, I was walking through the SAIT campus to get to the office. On my way in from the train station, I ended up seeing Michelle... Weird...
Here's why.
This is a girl I knew from Chinese school. She always talks to me like we're friends. Really, we're not.
First of all, I quit Chinese school when I was in grade 9 or so. That was over 10 years ago. I've only seen her a handful of times in the last couple years or so. I'm surprised she even recognized me that first time, though I suppose I haven't changed that much.
Secondly, we weren't friends. In fact, she was the outcast of our class... The girl that most people ignored, if they didn't pick on her. So unless something changed after I quit, we were never close to begin with.
*shrugs* It's not like I have anything against her. It's just quite odd in my opinion. She has fond memories of me (for some reason...) and yah...
Lolz~ She was telling me that she went out on dates with guys cuz she wasn't able to say no. Yet she acted like a completely obsessed stalker after the fact, so they wouldn't continue to pursue her... Like what the heck?! Oh my word... Odd girl... Really odd.
I think the last time I saw her was before I graduated, because I remember telling her that I was going to Japan with Ang. Then she was like "Oh my gosh! Can I go with you guys?!" and I was like "Uh... Sure..." (WEIRD!) But in the end she never contacted me. I must have given her my info (e-mail/number) like 3 times... And each time, she either hasn't contacted me or I have no idea... haha, it's not like I'm on MSN anyways and when I do check and get "adds", I automatically block them. I have no idea who people are by e-mail alone.
Ah well... I guess how events are remembered are up to the individual.
Yay for weekend though! So need it... ^__^ And the writing craze has kicked in again... hehe, so busy working on my ficcies~
